| The FlapStopper is a new and patented design that brings to the market for the first time, a flap-valve that can be locked shut against both a forward and reverse flow. As with our entire range, control is implemented using low pressure pneumatic controls making it safe to use in hazardous areas.
In normal service the Flapstopper ™ operates no differently to a normal flap valve protecting against reverse flow from the outside. However, should there be a spill within your premises, the valve can be forced shut in approx 3 seconds, even against a strong flow, thereby containing the spill within the drain.
The Flapstopper ™ can be totally automated and integrated with your existing alarm systems to detect and deploy. It can also be programmed to generate warning voice-mails and text messages to key staff and emergency services.
Installation of a Flapstopper ™ is also essential for any site which routinely transfers liquid onsite. The system is robust enough to be turned on and off numerous times each day as a precaution against any spillage when transferring from vehicle to vehicle or vehicle to storage. Continual operation time 2000+ hours. Installation may require civils.
